Engagement Photoshoot at Catherine's Hill, Winchester, Hampshire
Hannah and Nicole were due to get married in April 2021. But with much of their family having to travel from overseas they decided to make an early call and reschedule their wedding day.
Nicole wanted to bring a little cheer into the gloom surrounding the given situation and so she booked a surprise engagement shoot for Hannah. One autumnal morning in October we headed to St Catherine's Hill in Winchester.
St Catherine's Hill is special to them as it's where they first met. For me it's a great location to photograph as not only are the views beautiful but it offers a variety of landscapes. It does often get busy, especially on weekends so we opted for a weekday morning.
The conditions were perfect but I am not sure if they saw my vision on this cold and windy day.
I’m not one to ask couples to pose and I certainly didn't need to direct these two. They are clearly very in love and this really shines through. I had a lot of fun and I think they did too.
Engagement photoshoots are a great way to get to see how I work as a photographer and it helps couples realise that it’s not that intimidating being followed by me and my camera!
With every shoot I look to tell a story. This engagement shoot lasted one hour and it’s surprising the story that can be told in such a short space of time.
The perfect way to share the story is through a photofilm. Be sure to check out the film below.
Think a photofilm would be a great addition to your wedding day or perhaps to tell the world you’re engaged?
