Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do you have someone else you work with if we require two (or more) Photographers?
A. My style generally favours lone working. This means I can blend in as much as possible and the impact of the photography is kept to a minimum on your day. In certain situations it may be required to have additional photographers.
I have some amazing photographers I work with, so it’s no trouble to arrange this.
Q. What happens if you are unable to attend our wedding due to sickness or another unforeseen circumstance?
A. It hasn’t happened yet but it’s a good question, in the unlikely event I cannot make it then I will without a doubt do everything in my power to arrange a replacement photographer for you. I am part of a network of 4000 professional photographers who are on standby to help each other should the worst happen. If I am shooting with another photographer the 2nd photographer would take the lead and I would look to arrange a backup 2nd shooter.
There wouldn’t be any further costs incurred by yourself and the photographer I arrange would be of similar style to that of mine.
Q. Do you have insurance?
A. Yes, I have full public liability insurance. If your venue is requesting it I am happy to forward a certificate to them.
Q. What happens if your camera breaks?
A. I just start using my spare gear! I carry full backup equipment and then equipment to backup my back ups. Redundancy is key!
Q. Have you shot at our venue before?
A. This is actually probably the most common questions.
A lot of people seem to hang a great deal of weight on this question. Photography is subjective, it’s an art form, it’s the vision of one person through the eye of the lens. For me the passion in wedding photography is the unique nature. New faces, new locations and new venues. If you want a prefabricated wedding photography package where your photos will look the same as every other couple thats come before then I am probably not the photographer for you. I love to keep it fresh because this gives you great wedding photos.
Q. What happens if we decide to cancel?
A. If you change the date and I am available for your new date then there is no change to cost. There may be additional costs if the day of the week or venue changes.
If you cancel entirely then the amount returned depends on the length of notice given.
I’m not looking to punish anyone for cancellations or changes so it’s best to pick up the phone and we can discuss the best way forward. I do have a cancellation policy in the contract which you will receive at time of booking. If you’d like to read a copy just ask.
