Coronavirus Update From Joe Lillywhite Photography

I want to take a moment to give you information about my plans and advice through the coronavirus crisis.

We’re going through unprecedented times, it is for me as for many of you a concerning period. No-one knows what the future holds for many businesses and their employees.

For those of you who have weddings planned and those who are looking to place bookings, I want to reassure you that I am and have always offered flexibility to my couples. You can change the date without incurring additional costs and if I am not available for your new date I will do everything I can to assist you in booking a new photographer. All deposits will be fully refundable if you need to cancel due to the current coronavirus outbreak.

This pandemic won’t last forever but it will be here for a while. We all need to be flexible to pull through, this includes all of your wedding suppliers. My recommendation is to continue with planning weddings for later this year and onwards but request flexibility from all of your suppliers. Even if this doesn't last as long as expected or things get back to normal much quicker, there is nothing to say this can’t happen again. It’s best to learn from it and think about protecting your wedding plans but more importantly, your money.

Until further notice, I will not be conducting any face to face meetings but I will be available over the phone or video link. There is still much you can do during this time to continue planning your wedding. Next year is likely to be exceptionally busy for suppliers as couples from this year look to postpone, don’t get left behind by delaying your plans. Just remember to protect yourself and finances, it’s unlikely you will be able to get wedding insurance at present so be cautious about giving non-refundable deposits, especially large ones.

My phone is always on so if you have any concerns drop me a text or call and we can discuss anything you may need help with, whether that's questions about photography or weddings in general. I am happy to help.

I would like to thank everyone for their understanding and continued support to all businesses during this difficult time. A special thanks to those of you who are working on the front line of the NHS, my wife is a critical care nurse and I know what you’re all up against, my heart goes out to you.

Best wishes and stay safe.
